MasterShunt is the heart of every battery-powered energy system. This integrated battery monitoring device collects information about the battery bank and shares it with other MasterBus, CZone or NMEA 2000-enabled devices such as battery chargers, inverters/chargers and displays. So it's no surprise that the MasterShunt enables complete automation of your system, improving your comfort, extending the life of the battery and extending its runtime.
With the MasterShunt 500 CZone, you get all the information you need to monitor your battery bank and control your system, such as voltage, current, charge status and remaining runtime. All information is made available to the system via a single MasterBus cable. By accurately measuring the current flow through the charge status, the MasterShunt can precisely determine the remaining time.
With the help of programmable events and an integrated real-time clock, your system can be fully automated. Examples include automatically starting your generator when the battery bank is low, or automatically generating a warning at a certain depth of discharge. The proven design of the MasterShunt has been upgraded to provide even greater accuracy and better control. By taking battery-specific parameters into account, the MasterShunt takes reading accuracy to a whole new level.
With the MasterShunt 500 CZone, you have a free choice of fuse type, power and location. The battery monitor is supplied with a busbar so that an external fuse switch can be used in certain situations. In the event that the MasterShunt is installed close to the battery, the busbar can be replaced with either an ANL or class T main fuse to save space and costs.
